I'm Hollie. I don't really do running. I do eating.
But I am passionate about releasing children from poverty. And that passion helps me tie up my laces when I'm feeling lazy.
What does poverty mean to a baby? Well, it can literally mean life or death.
Every day a shocking 17,000 children under the age of five die, most from completely preventable causes.
Our Child Survival Programme exists to ensure that mums and babies living in poverty are given the very best possible chance at life, so that babies not only survive, but thrive.
Not only do children and mums receive critical medical resources through the Child Survival Programme, but they receive nutritious food, clean water, and baby supplies. Throughout this all, our staff offer emotional support, one-on-one parenting advice and spiritual guidance, loving them as Christ would.
I am running this 10K to ensure that babies all around the world are supported in the most critical years of their life. I am running so that they can grow up strong. I am running for their survival.
