I’m not much of a runner, do I have to run it?

Actually no, there is an option for walking that you can take if you prefer. On the day of the challenge walkers will start earlier in the morning, so that they are able to get round the course and finish at the same time as the runners.

Everyone will set their own goal and run at a pace that is comfortable for them. We are not elite athletes, we are team looking to make an amazing difference. Whether you walk or run, whether you are first across the line or last you will be supported and cheered on every step of the way!

What will the funds we raise go towards?

For this race we are specifically focusing on raising money for the child survival programme; more information about how this programme aims to give mum and babies the best possible start in life can be found here.

What time does the race start?

We advise you try and arrive in the race village by 7:30am; you should be making your way to the start line for 8:30am and the race will officially start at 9am. You should be able to find our Compassion stand in the race village on the day if you need any help or want to meet other runners.

Do we all run together?

Some may choose to run as a group while others will be running solo to accomplish the time they set out to achieve. However, there will be a Compassion stand at the event and you can go there before and after the race to meet with the other runners.

How do I get there?

The starting point of the race is Weybridge Health Club & Spa, Walton Ln, Weybridge, KT13 8QA. There will be more details about parking nearer the time of the race and other information about the race can be found on the official race website www.weybridgesports10k.co.uk.

I already have a place in the race - can I run for Compassion?

Absolutely! Firstly, well done for signing up to take part in the race. That’s the biggest step to make.
