Challenger Profile

I am so excited to have the opportunity of meeting my sponsored girl in Rwanda. Over the last 12 years I have watched her grow into a beautiful young lady and it will be a dream come true to see her face to face. She often asks if I can visit and I hope this will show her how much I love her.

I know the work of Compassion is life changing! I believe child sponsorship with Compassion is one of the most effective ways to reach the poorest of poor and break the cycles of poverty and hopelessness. My hope is that by doing this challenge I can inspire others to sponsor a child and raise awareness for those living in extreme poverty. We can all make a difference. There are mums out there praying for the simplest of needs to be met for their children. We can change their story. We can give hope and life. Today. 

If this Muskathlon can help any more children be given the chance of life then it will be worth every effort and mile in doing so. I know that by visiting the people of Rwanda and walking in their world my heart will be set ablaze with love to do more for these beautiful people. When people are drowning in a sea of hopelessness and poverty they are not just statistics but sons and daughters just like yours and mine. That motivates me. I love the Helen Keller quote that says 'I am only one; but I am still one. I cannot do everything, but still I can do something. I will not refuse to do the something I can do.' So I will do what I can do. Bring it on. :)
