I love creating & eating food and zumba!
Co-author of 'Tidy the Temple' a healthy eating and exercise book.
I have 3 boys, 8 hens and a wonderful husband.
Last year I ran my first marathon with 4M for children trafficked into the slave industry. This was from Bulgaria into Greece and it was by far the best thing about 2016, even my life.
This year I am running my second Marathon in Rwanda for Compassion. I have been supporting Compassion children for 16 years, our eldest sponsor child, 'Osiel' is 15 years old now. Our 11 year old son sponsors 'Rooney' from Uganda, who he really connects with and my husband got the opportunity to meet him last year.
These children deserve every opportunity and together with myself and friends we can pool our resources and really make a HUGE difference to these children's lives, to break the cycle of poverty.
One way I can help is by raising awareness and funds. So I've joined up with a men's movement called 4M - who are inspiring thousands of men to stand up for justice and speak out. And I am going to be joining men and women who are going to run, bike or trek right down the roads where these children who need help live.
Each athlete raises £10k but I want to make my target bigger and try and raise £25,000! That's a huge amount of money - and it goes directly to Compassion who are working all over the world to help children.
You can do something HUGE- help me raise a HUGE amount of money! With my friend Lucy, I want to raise £50,000 to aid the work that Compassion does. I know this charity and I trust them with my money. Please would you sponsor me ? I've no idea how I will hit the £50k total. I am told I need to raise £167 per day or £1,169 per week or £4, 676 per month so that I can run the marathon in May. Perhaps you could sponsor one of those segments of time? This month I spent £452 on food shopping ........could I have given up a the flapjack for the sake of these poor children? Could you?
Do something amazing today- this is likely to be the best money you will spend this week!
Thank you so much.
