My name is Jamie and I have been working for Compassion UK for eight years and in that time I have led two Supporter Insight Trips to Rwanda and seen the incredible life transforming work first hand in this beautiful country.
For my wife and my two year old daughter the least I want to do for them is provide a secure and safe place to live in. The truth is that many vulnerable familes with young children in Rwanda don't have homes like this.
The money raised will rebuild 34 homes in six communities across rural Rwanda for 34 child survival projects, this affects 173 people in total, 107 being children. They will be blessed with a three-bedroom brick home with a sitting room, this will be somewhere they can feel safe, warm and protected. They will also have access to a separate building providing a bathroom, toilet and kitchen. Hopefully breaking the cycle of poor
health, constant repairs on their current home, taking away treasured provision they need to live and a hope they might not have experienced before.
Anything you feel you can donate can help build a secure home for those that really need it, thats why it matters to me and makes it worthwhile putting my body through this challenge
