Kathy and I are getting married in late September 2017 and we decided as part of our honeymoon to undertake a Muskathlon. I am a Running Specialist Physiotherapist and Kathy works as a Christian Life Coach. We live in Wimborne, Dorset and have five wonderful children between us.
As part of the crew for 4M UK I have heard many beautiful stories from my crew members who have undertaken a Muskathlon in areas of the world which need help. Our values at 4M include Brotherhood, Faith, Adventure and Justice. Justice means fighting injustice, it means travelling to areas of the World where people live in suffering and raising awareness of their plight. Consequences of man-made injustice include the devastation of post war destruction in places like Rwanda, it means the life wrecking consequences of the sex trade, sexual trafficking and sexualisation of Women and girls in Eastern Europe. In the case of Sumba, Indonesia it means tackling extreme child poverty. In a World where the richest eight individuals have the same wealth as 50% of the World’s poorest people so much needs to be done to raise awareness and redress this issue. We are passionate about protecting and empowering every child left vulnerable by poverty. We will be building much-needed toilet blocks and celebrating life with these beautiful Children in Indonesia. It is our wish that our friends in England dig deep and pledge to sponsor one or more of these beautiful children as part of the legacy of our Wedding.
