I am Charis and currently work as an oncology dietitian in the North West. I have a real passion for nutrition as well as equality.
I first heard about Compassion and their incredible work about 4 years ago which led me to sponsor my first child and since then I've grown in admiration for the work that they do and have been lucky enough to go on and sponsor a second child.
I love to travel and love learning about new cultures as well as spending time outdoors exploring new places.
I'm taking part in this trip as I love to challenge myself and I know this will challenge me both physically and mentally. However the main reason why I am taking part is because I love the work that Compassion does. I feel every child should be entitled to adequate nutrition, education and health services, something we can so often take for granted in the UK, and I love that Compassion is striving to better the lives of some of the most unprivileged children across the world.
