When I turned 30 last September, I set myself a challenge of running 12 half marathons in 12 months. Then I managed to get a place at the Great North Run so it's now 13 half marathons in 13 months! Quite fitting that, seeing how a half marathon is 13.1 miles!

While I was working my way through the challenge, I thought it would be great to raise some money for a great cause. After thinking and praying long and hard about who to raise money for, I eventually settled on Compassion.
Yvonne and I have been sponsoring our lovely Koffivi from Togo for two years now. I know that Compassion does great work with him, and many children like him so now I'm excited to be helping out other children in a similar situation as him.
