I decided I would like to celebrate my 60th Birthday with a personal challenge, but I wanted a challenge that would benefit others. So I am joining a team of 30 people to climb Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in Africa.( 19,341 ft)
I love mountains and I also want to raise money for Compassion UK. (Compassion UK is a Christian charity passionate about empowering all children to overcome the obstacles poverty puts in their way.) I sponsor some children myself through Compassion, and I see first hand how children are released from poverty. I have heard truly amazing testimonies from young adults who have been sponsored through Compassion and whose lives have been changed forever.
