I have been on a journey over the last few months which has seen my weight drop by almost 4 stone. Part of this journey was to start running at first I could not run 1/4 mile and took me several weeks to run 5k. This brings me to this wanting to achieve 10k.
Going back 20 years I was able to go to the capital of Haiti and work with a home for street children and a home for abandoned disabled children. It was the most humbling experiance of my life. This year at the one event my eldest daughter asked if we could sponsor a child she went on the Compassion Experiance bus and then picked a child who was her age from Haiti. I know first hand the poverty of this place and so that is why I am running for Compassion. The money raised will go towards the work that is taking place by Compassion in Haiti please help if you can to make a real difference in the lives of these children
