I’m really not a runner and throughout the 989km of training gone into this run, I’ve not yet learnt to love it.
In 2019, I visited Ethiopia with a group from Potters Church to see the work of Compassion first hand. I met hundreds of beautiful sponsor children who, thanks to the generosity of people at Potters Church and elsewhere, were able to go to school, receive regular health check ups and to be lifted out of poverty. Compassion support children who are not yet sponsored and support the local communities in so many ways, and so I’ve chosen to do a Half Marathon to hopefully raise some money for them to continue this work.
