Hi I'm James, I live in the West Midlands and am looking to Challenge myself at the age of 36 for this great cause by hopefully conquering the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro!
I am fortunate enough to be able to say I've lived in several African nations including Kenya where I actually got to view Mount Kilimanjaro whilst close to the Tanzanian boarder.
Compassion UK is an incredible charity which sponsors children in poverty around the world. They have a variety of long term projects including pre and post natal care plans for mothers and sponsorship programmes for children, but they also help to tackle emergency situations, such as malnutrition and providing access to clean water.
It's time for me to do my part by funding the trip myself, so all donations collected will go straight to Compassion.
The funds raised by our Kilimanjaro team will be going towards a project to build houses for families in Rwanda who are currently living in shanty accommodation. It costs £3,429 to build a three bed house in Rwanda and Compassion are aiming to help change the lives of 34 families through this project.
