My Challenge:
Running a Marathon in Kenya for children born into the vulnerability of poverty. The challenge is in June this year and I'm funding my own expenses which means all the funds raised here will benefit the children directly. See the promo video for the Muskathlon here for more on what it aims to do - https://youtu.be/APlfiAEbEaE

This will be my first marathon in an 'extreme' location - but as the promo above says, my hardship will be nothing compared to what the communities where I'll run face on a daily basis.
By sponsoring just one child for £25 monthly (or $38), you will transform the life of that child forever.
Often I've felt challenged by the poverty around me both here in the UK and elsewhere. Whilst we await / advocate / partner for systemic change, this is my attempt to do something about it right now, with what I can for those within my reach, through your help - one child at a time.
To see an example of how Emerson in Haiti benefits from his sponsor Danielle's generosity, please see this clip - https://youtu.be/YaAGtPNjFdM
The impact goes far beyond just the one child and typically lifts their families too, out of poverty. See how Salama's aspirations and her mum's hope for the future changed in this one - https://youtu.be/-fxKddQwcsM?t=4m30s
All said and done, I realise this is not a small commitment in the long term; so please do not feel pressured to sponsor a child or donate, if that's not what you would like to or can right now. Any one off donations (by clicking the 'Donate' button above) will still go directly to the same community and provide education for those identified as leaving secondary education and their current support.
If you like the idea of sponsoring a child but live outside the UK, or would want to choose a child from the villages I would run in, please let me know. The 'Sponsor a Child' button above will give you a wider choice. It is such a privilege to go beyond ourselves and impact the lives of those that are suffering from injustice and poverty, one child at a time!
