I'm running the London Marathon 2022 for Compassion. I have run the Plymouth Half Marathon three times but never done a full Marathon and am excited I get to make London my first (and most probably my only!) one.
I have always wanted to do a Marathon but injuries, life and other things have meant it hasn't happened. The opportunity to run for Compassion has forced my hand.
Fatima and I have sponsored two children with Compassion for a number of years. The work is phenomenal as Christ-centred love and care is at the heart of this work, in partnership with the local church - releasing children from poverty; helping families; providing education; and equipping people for the present and the future. It is a holistic work which cares for the mind, body, spirit and heart. They also make sure the money goes where it's needed rather than being swallowed up in costs.
I love the work of Compassion and it is a privilege to play a small part in helping and supporting the work they do.
