I'm running the 2023 London Marathon in aid of Compassion UK.
This will be my first Marathon and I'm pretty apprehensive/ excited about it.
It will be fulfilling one of my life's ambitions and I'm very honored to be doing it for such a great charity.
Thank you so much for your donation.
I started sponsoring a child back in 2006. Her name was Joseline and she was from Rwanda. At 21 years old she is graduating from the Compassion program this year.
It has been very inspiring to see her grow up and thrive. She is in her final year of University, has worked in an internship for the Government and is looking to gain employment in this area at the end of her studies.
It is fantastic to see her doing so well and taking her opportunities. It is very humbling to think I may have helped her in her life journey.
Over the past few years I was fortunate enough to provide her with monetary gifts for her birthday. For each gift she was able to buy things like chickens, a gas cooker and pigs - it really felt like I was making a positive difference to her life!
