My Challenge:
I am running the London Marathon 2024 to support Compassion's incredible work with children and their caregivers in Ethiopia.
Money raised will go directly to an income-generating project for caregivers of children in the Compassion project in Eastern Ethiopia, an already poor region severely affected by drought, famine and conflict in recent years.
My aim is to raise Β£3,000 and/or find monthly sponsors for 6 children.

My name is Ralph, from the Netherlands but living in London in the UK. I work for Hillsong Church and look after our refugee and social impact projects. I enjoy running and hope that by doing the London Marathon I can combine my two passions for sport and justice.
I have been volunteering and working with Compassion since the early 2000s and a long time sponsor of children in Uganda, Rwanda and Haiti.
Having had the privilege of seeing the work of compassion in Uganda and Rwanda I am convinced that their interventions and sponsorship empowers children and their families to break out of poverty and build a better future. Through running the London Marathon I hope to contribute a little in enabling this incredible work a bit more.
