I live in Edinburgh, Scotland with my husband, Stephen, and my daughters Heather and Susanna. I work with the Church of Scotland and we sponsor a number of children around the world with Compassion UK.
I can't run or climb things, so putting one foot in front of the other to climb Kilimanjaro seems like a more realistic prospect!
We've sponsored a young man who lives near Kilimanjaro since 2003. I've seen the difference that sponsorship has made to his life, and to his family, and treasure all the letters, drawings and photos that we have from him. He is an extra brother for Heather and Susanna, and a long-distance part of our family.
I'm doing this because I can't run or other things, and I would love more people to find out about the amazing work of Compassion.
