Challenger Profile

My name is Cornel and I am romanian. I moved to UK 5 years ago, when I've been offered a position as a geologist.

All this years have been an amazing adventure with God, with all the the ups and downs an adventure needs.

With work, I've travelled in several african countries and I've seen "goods" and 'bads" and sometimes "very bads".

For the last 4 years, through Compassion UK, I've been supporting/ sponsoring Benjamin, now 13 yo, from a remote village in Tanzania. From his handwritten letters I've seen how much Compassion means to him, providing access to education, education which is vital for his future.

I will encourage everyone to take this chance/challenge to support/sponsor a child that literally has no chance for a good education.

To be honest, this is a personal challenge, climbing the roof of Africa, a continent that gave me beautiful memories along the years. In the same time a challenge to climb my own fears. I believe that this trip will worth every single penny I'm personally paying for.

!!!!!! On top of this, my heart is with children like Benjamin for which charities like Compassion UK are their only hope for a better future.
