My Challenge:
Ethiopia 2020. Our challenge is to cover 135 km in total across beautiful Ethiopia with Jeff tackling the 63km walk, Sue running the marathon, and Caleb, Sophie & Leon all running a 10k each.
We will be traveling with a great team of sponsors for the week and we will have a chance to visit Compassion's projects in various places, host a sports day and spend time with our sponsored child Yewulsew who we have sponsored for 3 years.

We live in Llandrindod Wells, Mid Wales and are all fairly active. Jeff, Caleb, Sophie & Leon all box in our local gym, and Sue trains there also. All three children have enjoyed karate, with Sophie now a black belt. We have run Highland Moors Guest House for the last 17 years, and all three children are in the local High School. We love to travel and Jeff & Sue especially like the sun !
We have been involved with Compassion through our child sponsorship for the last 3 years and are so impressed with the incredible work they do across 25 countries impacting the lives of 1.6 million children meeting their basic needs and giving them a hope for the future through schooling and investment in their villages.
We have been sponsoring our little girl Yewulsew who is 8 years old. It's wonderful to be able to get to know her via letters and emails. We are really looking forward to meeting her for the first time and meeting her family and see how she lives there.
We felt it was a wonderful opportunity to take on a challenge and raise money together as a family to help raise funds which go directly to Compassions projects in Ethiopia.
We feel it's especially important for the children to experience an entirely different way of life and have a chance to help other children. Child sponsorship is an amazing way of helping a child have a better future. If you could find an extra £25 per month, we would highly recommend considering child sponsorship with Compassion. The funds raised will go to Compassion's Child Survival Interventions in Debreziet which will help pregnant mothers and their babies in the first year of their lives. If you can donate anything towards our £5,000 target, we would be so grateful.
We are funding our own travel expenses so every penny donated goes directly to the projects in Ethiopia.
