My name is Jessica, I am 25 years old and I am currently training to be a Secondary School language teacher.
I have been involved in charity work for as long as I have known, and over the past few years I have had the amazing opportunity to sponsor a child through Compassion. For just £25 a month a child is given all they need and more. It is so rewarding especially since we write letters to each other, and keep in touch. I am taking part in this run because I truly believe that Compassion are helping children and families in not just a monetary way but holistically too, looking at all areas of need in a person's life.
This run is a great opportunity to raise some money to help provide a child with an insecticide-treated net that could save their life. It may not seem like much but this is something that the children in Uganda need.
